News cycles, statistics, social media feeds - these can't completely reflect the true character of our lived experience, but creative works can. Anecdote Magazine is a home for that work. It is an invitation to take a break from constantly reacting and to respond through making, instead. The creative community in Anchorage, Alaska is the beating heart of this publication, but all submissions are welcome.

Endemic to the Pandemic: Issue 01 will explore how the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced relationships of all kinds. Every person on Earth has been impacted by this global pandemic, one way or another. The way people relate - to each other, to themselves, to the space they inhabit, to life itself - has changed. Anecdote invites creatives submitting to the magazine to explore this theme of altered relating due to the pandemic.
